While most of the park's interior roads close to private vehicles by early November, the winter season (typically mid-December to early March) opens a rare door for those willing to trade their cars for snow coaches.

Glacier Park's beauty reflects millions of years of change in ancient rock formations.  Here, summer meets winter!  Snow has already come to Glacier National Park in northern Montana. Glacier National Park is widely considered one of the most beautiful places in the United States, often referred to as the "Crown of the Continent". Summer is the most popular time to visit because it is the only season when the entire park is accessible, the trails are snow-free, and all facilities are fully open.

IF YOU have not visited Grand Teton National Park in a while, or taken a day or two in Yellowstone or Glacier, get yourself there now if you're anywhere near!  Prime fall colors, an abundance of birds and wildlife,  and an absence of crowds make this my favorite "park time."
